Sunday – Out into the Country

Breakfast & checkout then into the 4×4 to set off for Mai Chau ecolodge. Had the obligatory stop at a lacquer craft shop – small item bought for some lucky persons Xmas present….

If we thought previous rain had been biblical then todays just had to go one better. Zero visibility in the hills and water 3-4 inches deep across the roads. We abandoned the viewpoint stop & valley side market visit and just drove to the lodge.

The very nice people at reception upgraded us from a super lodge to a suite – so we have our own plunge pool and frankly pretty marvellous views (even in the rain..)
