Second day on the river

So another early start but off we go again, drifting down the river to stop at at small village. As we learned from our guide we were the first tourists since COVID struck and there both surprised and pleased to see us. As well as weaving scarves etc they also have a ’legal’ still which produces some quite interesting ’whiskey’. The village has a school which is supported by the cruise company who built the classroom and pay for the teacher.

Then back to the boat for an excellent lunch and then the final excursion of the trip to the “Caves of 5000 Buddha’s”

Lunch is a wonder to behold
