1st T20 – rain delay anyone ?

Had the first part of the day at leisure so caught a trusty Tuk Tuk and rode into town.

Bumped into the T20 World Cup on display as it was being toured round the country,

Went for a walk around the lake which is such a feature of the city. Finally caught another Tuk Tuk back to the hotel to get ready to travel to ground for the T20. The traffic was appalling and we arrived at the scheduled time for the toss, however the rain intervened and delayed the start (including the toss).

Tested out both the bar & food options at the ground – Alison can handle a pint OK.

England finally triumph as rain at the end killed game and DLS gave us the win. By now the rain was getting to biblical proportions and trying to find our bus in the dark with the rest of the crowd was ‘interesting’…

Still we got back to the hotel at 1:00 in the morning absolutely ready for the trip to the Temple of the Sacred tooth later that day.
