In the Lounge
So the adventure begins….

So BA tried to put us off using them ever again – but we persevered, the Lounge in Satellite B was much less crowded than the one at Terminal 5. Sadly Emma was cursed with the non performing entertainment station at her seat, even the classic turn it off and on again failed to bring it to life. In another 1st they did actually have the special menus that had been pre-booked on the plane !
Then we struck the pigs ear that is JFK immigration, queues so bad they were blocking the escalators up from the arrivals area. After 2.5 hours queuing finally got through – only for our transfer cars to have decided we were a ‘no show’ and gone off to another job -despite text/msg the drivers to keep them informed. After 35 minutes on the phone to the car service gave up and got a couple of yellow cabs instead.
Then we had the joys of a driver who had ‘limited’ English and no idea where our hotel was. So we input the details into his Sat Nav for him and eventually shouted ‘let us out here’ when we were close enough to walk the rest. When booking in to the Hotel they cheerfully informed us we had $10 credit per room to spend in the closed restaurant, bar & shop.
Luckily the car service sent appropriate vehicles for the 04:45 departure from the hotel…
Back to JFK and managed to get airside and in the lounge without too much difficulty.
