Day One, win the toss then what?
Really early start so we could get to the ground and get past the exhaustive security in time for the toss at 9:00 AM
First the view from our balcony at the hotel

Then having got through external security (Alison having to explain our seat cushions weren’t really a pair of handbags) and pavilion security took the lift to the 5th floor to see this

Decided you can have too much of a good thing as curry for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner begins to pall somewhat.
Hotel restaurant was so overcrowded in the evening that we had to sit outside next to a fire pit in order to eat. As a consequence we hatched a plan to meet up with a friend who had also travelled over to see the game and see stuff and eat elsewhere tomorrow.
