Rotorua – the extra day

So this day we should have been traveling to Napier, but the cyclone has put paid to that

Made up on the spot itinerary – instead we visited Lake Tarawera, a magnificent spot and then tried out forest bathing in the Redwood Forest.

Then off to the gondola for a snack at the top of the 900m long lift.

Closely followed by a wine tasting hosted by Volcanic Hills winery at the top. Sadly didn’t have time to try out the Luge descent ,,,,

Back to the hotel, fairly early checkout tomorrow as we have opted to fly down to Wellington rather than take the 7 hour coach transfer.
