Another day – another 2 flights….

Transfer day – again – off to the airport to fly from Siem Reap to Bangkok and then onwards to Phuket. The two cases were checked through to Phuket so the gamble was on that we would be re-united. Slightly concerned that our second leg had us listed as standby, but we got boarding cards issued eventually.

Our doubts were justified at Phuket as our cases were nowhere to be seen – how ever our Apple tags showed that they were in the same building and despite not having the magic blue ‘my luggage is international’ sticker we managed to persuade the ground staff to let us through to international baggage arrivals where lo and behold our cases sat in a forlorn huddle with a few other similar pieces of luggage. Alison tracking her case with her phone caused some amusement amongst other passengers on the same quest.

There then followed a more desperate transfer in the pouring rain with a driver depending on Google Maps to find his way to our home for the next few nights.
