Wednesday 12th – Hanoi and beyond

Reasonable start and then in the car for the trek to back to Hanoi. We were able to stop at a couple of viewpoints on the way back that were somewhat obscured by rain & cloud on the way out. Lunch was at a roadside cafe , the usual chicken on the bone, beef and morning glory combination.

The airport was the expected mass of confusion but we were whisked through by our guide and before you know it boarding our next Vietnam Airlines flight to Hue.

Luggage turned up at the same time as we did, met new guide and off to the hotel (in the centre of the city). Once again the name Audley worked its magic and we upgraded to a suite.
