Luang Prabang Day 1

So – now in the hotel having regretfully left the boat. However this doesn’t mean our boating days are over as we have to catch the hotel boat (canoe really) across a tributary (Nam Khan river) to get the to main town. Bed, breakfast and swimming pool in our comfortable new location.

The first morning was a bicycle tour around the town. First test was cycling across the ‘Old Bridge’ which is pedestrian and wheeled traffic only. Then on to the two most significant temples and the national history museum.
